Pro and proud
I launched the #proudXL8 campaign in 2013, while I was still the head of an association in Germany. I had my good friend Axel Herrmann, a professional designer, design these buttons.
The buttons are a gift to my fellow professional translators who take pride in the profession and want to show it on their websites or on their social media accounts.
All too often, we have to compete with non-professionals and even machines. But what we have to offer is so much more than “word-swapping” and therefore we take pride in what sets us apart from non-professionals and AI.
